What this site is
MyRegoCheck is a simple, independent guide to vehicle registration ("rego") checks in Australia. Because every state and territory runs its own check on its own government website, it's easy to end up on the wrong page — or on a third-party site charging you for something the government gives away free. This site exists to point you to the right official portal for your state, and to explain what each free check does and doesn't cover.
What this site is not
- We do not perform rego checks. Every "check" button on this site opens the relevant state or territory's official government portal in a new tab. Your search happens there, not here.
- We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any Australian government agency — not VicRoads, Service NSW, Transport and Main Roads Queensland, or any other authority named on this site.
- We cannot show you a vehicle's registered owner. No public website in Australia can — privacy law prevents it, and the official portals state this themselves. Any site claiming otherwise should not be trusted.
- We don't sell vehicle history reports. When we mention the $2 PPSR search, we link you directly to the Australian Government's own ppsr.gov.au.
Why trust the links here
Each portal link on this site was checked against the relevant government's own website. Government portals occasionally move pages; if a button ever lands somewhere unexpected, please let the relevant authority know — and check their homepage for the current check page.
